Plakias / Weather Plakias - Sept - October, Hotel Lamon

Any idea what weather is generally like last week Sept, first October, and Hotel Lamon any good? I know people have always told me Plakias busy September, we have stayed June and August before and thinking about coming out again this year but later. Cheers All. Keith

Paul yes that's the chap! We first met him in 2003. We just happened to be in Ostraco a couple of weeks ago he recognised us and told us it was his birthday, we took photos, there was a surprise cake and lots of Raki!!! I will try the media link, if you do get a contact detail it would be much appreciated. One last thought, Nicos introduced us to a guy called Shane during the drinks! who lives near us in England, Chingford to be exact, Nicos had stayed with him in England, if you had his details that may help us? Thanks again and I will try and post the photos as you suggested!

I am coming out to damnoni next tuesday for the second time (last time august 2003) can anyone let me know what souda bay is like as i heard quite a lot of people mention it in 2003. Is there a taverna there and is it any good? Any pictures would be great. Thanks

There have been two tavernas at soudha beach - I assume you mean that rather than Soudha Bay which is on the north coast near Hania. Both fine but they - and Soudha Beach - now get rather crowded since the tarnaccing of the road there was completed a few years ago  and esp at weekends  when a lot of weekenders from other parts of crete go there

where are you staying at damnoni? Hapimag?

souda's a nice little bay with a few tavernas there

Thanks for the photo and yes staying at Hapimag last time we were only english family there but we had a great time. Cant wait to get back out to Crete.
