Where to stay / Anna's Apartments-Mirthios

We have booked two weeks during the end of July and beginning of August 2005 at Anna's Apartments in Mirthios. Has anybody been there before?

I know that the village is not strictly in Plakias, but as it's our first trip to crete we intend to hire a car and at least spend some time travelling as well enjoy the delights of Plakias itself.

We meticulously researched the islands resorts beforehand and felt that Plakias offered something different and hope that we are not proved wrong.

What was your opinion of the Anna Apartments.  Thinking of booking for 2006

Plakias / june 2005

We were thinking of travelling last week in May and first week in June, 2005.  Just thought that the colour on the hills might be amazing that time of year.  Any suggestions as to whether we should go earlier or later.

We like a little sun - warm enough for walks and to feel as if our "bones are warmed up".  Any thoughts on the weather for May and June?

Sorry, didn't read about the cost of a meal.  Two of us eat, usually, starters and main courses, with half litre of wine for less than twenty euro.

 We were in Plakias first two weeks of September this year.  Found Lyseoss and Gorgola really good.
