While on the beach last week we were rocked by dynamite blasting across the bay, round the coast from Souda. Anyone know what's happening? A new road, perhaps, to detour round the white-knuckle Rodakino road?

A new road, certainly but it didn't look very wide when we saw it a few day's ago

Yes I heard it was a new road possibly going around to Chora Sfakion/Frangocastello.

And heres a small piccy of the dust from the blasting....
