Don't worry Fraoula I'm still here... but not for long
I will probably post a quick update whilst I am out there. Every year I say that I am not going to go near a PC whilst on holiday but I always do! Maybe this year

computaholic Ploppy!! Yes one little update will keep us happy! Don't go bragging about the nice weather though ! I couldn't take that...I just :'( couldn't........Please no more rain here!!
Have a great time all september goers

I'm one of those that are off next Tuesday (anyone else on the FC 7.30am flight from gatwick?) and have just looked at weather underground whose forecast for next Tuesday is Thunderstorms . I hope they have got that wrong!

Hello Susan,
I tend to use Yahoo for weather as you get a 10 day forecast. This says that your first 5 days will be sunny and not too hot (around 28 Celsius).
Try the link. 10 day weather forecast for Crete. (http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/local/GRXX0046)
Weather Underground has more places in Crete for which it gives a forecast. Do you use the forecast for Rethymnon or Ierapetra? The former is nearer but the latter is on the south coast.

Thanks Mike, I shall use that forecast as well. It looks like the storms have been blown away thankfully.
Five days to go and counting!

Ahh yes weather.com from The Weather Channel, for a weather buff like me I was glued to the Weather Channel whilst in the States... sad but true
And for more weather stats check out [a href=\"http://www.ploppy.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/wx.htm]Ploppy Weather[/url] for the weather a bit closer to home... my back garden in fact! Even sadder but still true
26 hours until lift-off
Cheers,
Paul

Worry not, folks. Everything here is fine, just a bit windy.

It was the big reunion dinner in Plakias last night, organised by John (Compage), and I'm sure a good time was had by all. There has been only one post in the last week so most of the regulars are presumably in Plakias now. Should be some interesting posts on their return.
I'm impressed that Paul (Ploppy) is well up in all things meteorological as well as computers, as the former has long been an interest of mine (in a very amateur way).
