This week's Mail on Sunday (30 may) travel pages have a feature with this topic title enthusing the pros of Skinny Dipping (to quote them). Amongst the 10 best beaches highlighted for "this purpose" is Plakias beach.
John R - a None beach person but one who fully appreciates all the facets of Plakias

Must admit am not averse to shedding the old shorts and having a swim as Mother Nature intended, quite invigorating, and I think epitomizes the Plakian/Cretan experience of freedom and change from all that is your average daily life !
It shall be repeated again this year for sure..............

Svetlana and I are also taking some "small" anti personnel mines for strategic placement as an anti textile measure lol

We've been coming to Plakias for 3 years now - and love the freedom to find a quiet beach and bare all. One of the nicest things is the lack of regimented naturism - just a quiet acceptance.
Can't wait to get back there in a few weeks time!

We think pretty much the same. It makes all the difference to feel that people on the beach, even the textiles accept being in the buff as natural and ok

Precisely this attitude which attracted us to Plakias. I am sure everything wonderful will be revealed when we make our very first visit in 8 days time!

last minute decision - off to Plakias tomorrow (5.30 (yawn) June 22 - oops its actually today) so by tomorrow (this) afternoon we'll probably be under or around the tree at the far end losing our stripes for 2 weeks. BTW this time we booked a car through olympic rather than Adonis at Anso - £178 for 2 weeks - just a little buzzer (with a/c I hope - maybe a corsa) but about the cheapest we've had.

You'll usually find me at the far end!
