Hi,

I'm looking to stay in Frangokastello for a couple of days...

Just looking for some tips ...where to stay ?.....how do i get there from Plakias on public transport...Is there a bus & how often does it run ?

Anytips would be nice..

The bus to Chora Sfakion goes through Frangokastello or at least very near it . There certainly used to be one bus in the morning and one back late afternoon - probably also the reverse .I suggest you go on a day trip first , get the lie of the land, decide whether you want to go back and  book accomomodation if so .But if you are going in high season it might be difficult to get accomodation at short notice

Am I not right in thinking that there is a boat goes to and from Frangokastello on at least one day of the week?  I remember using it a few years ago to return to Plakias on an organised trip to walk the Imbros gorge.

In September 2002 there went every Friday a boat from Plakias to Loutro via Frangokastello and Chora Sfakion. It departed about 9 to 10 and returned in the late afternoon.
