Hi All. Just wondering if anybody has walked on the footpaths up to Myrthios via the old mill in the past couple of years. We are returning to Plakias later this year after a 'year off'. The last time we walked the path, in September 2012, we were dismayed to find quite bad erosion on the section of path just below the gate with the legendary notice ('please close the door, sheeps in field'). We felt that any more bad weather and without attention that route would be impassable. Perhaps it's a bit of a forlorn hope to assume that the path has been repaired, but if anybody has any information it would be very helpful to hear it. It's a much nicer walk up the village that way rather than plodding up the road.

We did that walk last October but I don't remember any difficulty, however while following the left had side of the river towards the mill we did witness quite a large landslip which fell across the path on the right hand side. Many large rocks were dislodged.

Still OK at the end of last year's season. It is indeed a much nicer route than the concrete track!
