Some of you may have seen the man responsible for the upkeep of the far end post 'freddie'.
Suffice to say that apostolis is a very softly spoken man who is very respectful of the beach and looks after it well, constantly picking up litter.
I in a small way have tried to help over the last few years by removing litter and larger 'non-marine' debris from around the rocks.
The sea is beautiful and cleaner than i can ever recall in the last ten years of my visits and this i believe is down to him and whoever helps him.
I hope you appreciate his input and help to maintain the state of the beach throughout the summer and going forward.

I agree entirely. I've applauded him and his co-worker previously on a thread about sunbeds and am happy to do so again. When we went in July last year, the whole of back of the dunes was full of alianthos in flower, and the beach was spotless. We generally go to the beach before breakfast and he was usually there before us, raking the water line.
20 days and counting....

Well done Apostolis!

I whole heartedly agree.
I've just come back from Plakias (31st July) and the far end beach has never been so good.
I'm just disappointed that when the wind blows Apostolis loses trade. He deserves to do well.

I'll be there tomorrow to do my bit.
