Although we will be in Plakias in October for a week we do like to visit somewhere different each year. Can anyone recommend somewhere near the coast between Iraklion and Chania. Not too overrun with people. We have tried Georgioupolis.

IMHO..most of the costal resorts are much of the same around there, and they are all completing for the same clients... Georgioupolis and the lake close by (Cant remember the name) are very typical

Why not try going into the hills behind and searching out some villages and towns there? Galatas, Anoyia two at both ends of your search.
