Just out of interest, why do prices on the Olympic site change so much? This morning Hotel Sophia was £511 and now it is £556 for the 19th July. will this keep happening? Or shall I go to Corfu?

Corfu? Can't allow that.

I went to Corfu - ONCE!
Seriously, I had a good time there, although this was due to the company as much as the location. I would consider going back, but only if I could fit in a Plakias visit as well.

Olympic together with other Holiday companies place tracking cookies on your computer. If you visit the same pages again they log that you are interested and increase the price. Try clearing the cache and cookies before you visit again and see if the price comes down. Did it myself Today. The Dora for two weeks 26th of June £845. Cleared Cache and cookies and tried to book again £775.45. Booked at lower price. Price was for two people flying from Birmingham.

Never tried this, has anyone else come across this situation?

I suspect that British Airways do this regularly - although that not relevant to people going to Plakias since BA don't fly to Crete.

They do fly to Athens though.

I've just booked some BA flights after several weeks of monitoring prices. The price was the same before and after deleting cookies. Also the same when searching in eBookers and Opodo so I would doubt that BA adjust prices based on whether you've previosly visited the site.
