I tend not to believe the weather forecasts too much as they can be a bit optimistic.

Sometimes it is better to look at the weather data for the previous day(s) to get an idea of what the trend is.

This link is useful for data for Spili, which is close to Plakias and a little cooler as it is located at a higher altitude:

You can see check out other weather data for other stations a little further away as well.

That wasn't a forecast that was the actual temperture, weather underground does both. In fact when I checked the history, I noticed it actually got to 31 degrees yesterday. You can also check the wind and how strong the gusts are. Been using it for years as it gives me an idea of what to expect when we arrive.

Still 25 degrees for the Finikas Principality in Mid April is not too shabby either!

hope you have a wonderful time....lucky you... we have to wait until August.

We've been going to Plakias since the mid 80's, so you could say we are 'hooked'. We know many people that stay there alone with no problems. Everyone is so friendly & helpful.

We stayed at the Kostas last October for the first time & we thought it was really good & great value.

There are many changes in Plakias but still has the 'magic' ....enjoy,enjoy!!

I'm getting quite excited now, only 5 more days to wait and good to hear your stay at KC was good.

I've waited a long time to go back to Plakias it really is a special place, it must be good to have a forum dedicated to it. I agree it is brilliant and everyone has been so helpful putting up with all my questions

Maybe I'll see some of you if I return later in the year

Hello Jann,
our flights are confirmed and we will leave Germany on Sunday in the morning.
On Saturday we have to pack our bags and we will arrive in Plakias on Sunday around 2 p.m.
We wait for our 6th stay in Plakias and we hope to meet some friends which we met during the last years.
Once more we stay in Castello.
Maybe... see you soon.
