[attachment=688:Crete___...0909_141.jpg] This village should be familiar but where are we taking the photo from?
-
Myrthios from Kakamouri.

On second thoughts, and bearing in mind the zoom needed to take it from Kakamouri, it is more likely to be from Koules hill (or Plakias hill as it has been called on the Plakias Hill Villas website).

You're quite right about the zooming limitations of my camera. Of course, with your camera you'd have been able to see read the STEFANOS VILLAGE writing from Kakamouri.
I think you are close enough - we were actually slightly higher - in the ruin at the top of the hill.
I'll try to find one that's a bit trickier. Maybe even an Alones photo

Not without a tripod I wouldn't, and can you see me carrying a tripod to the top of Kakamouri?
I don't think so.

You mean the ruin on Koules Hill?

There is no need for that!

Yes. A bit scratchy near the top but worth it. [attachment=690:Crete___...0909_134.jpg]
This plate was on a plinth outside the ruin[attachment=691:Crete___...0909_137.jpg]
and we managed to snap a Swallowtail butterfly - lower down they tend not to settle long enough [attachment=692:Crete___...0909_140.jpg]
