I am not sure about how the "pound" affects the "euro". Thinking of Plakias prices, will I be much worse off? Not up on financial situations me!

Hello Barny,
It sure will be worse! The tourist rates are not much better than £1 to €1 now so as a rough approximation the rate in € and £ will be the same. It was only 2007 when it was about €1.40 to the £. Ouch!!

Definitely a lot worse off. Means you need to take almost half as much money again to buy the same things Just hope the £ picks up a bit before I go back at the end of September.

Hi all having been in Plakias over Christmas yes it it seems & is much more expensive to us brits, but the prices in Plakias have not changed it's the poor £ that makes it seem that way.
If you love Plakias as you all do I'm sure you will find a way to save a few pennies while your there to compensate. We even stayed in a few nights (bearing in mind it was cold and we couldn't just sit on the balcony!) but we enjoyed watching various movies in greek whilst enjoying a Gyros & a greek salad
whilst snuggled under the duvet.
What ever your budget I believe you all will still enjoy a wonderful holiday.
