Hi all,
When we stay in Crete one of the things that always fascinates me is the beauty of the stars visible at night. I suppose it is the clear Sky's and the relative lack of light pollution (we stay with friends on the mountainside outside Asomatos).
If you have clear skies tonight there is a lunar eclipse visible throughout the Americas and Europe. A link can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/20_February_2008_lunar_eclipse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/20_February_2008_lunar_eclipse) . This is the last opportunity to see a total lunar eclipse for 3 years.

Predictably, after a week of incredibly clear night skies, here in Manchester ....... last night was thick cloud and drizzle.
Sod's Law is alive and well! (and living in Manchester.)

Same on the Wirral 10/10 cloud cover so I missed it as well.
