Hi
This is my first post on any site like this so hope I am doing it right
We have been to Plakias 8 times in the past but never at the end of May early June like this year.
Can any of you tell us how warm it is then and will we need to wrap up at all at night.

Hi Davos
Well, in mho this is a good time to go. With luck, the wind won't be too strong (can't say it won't be windy) and the days are warm. We usually take some kind of cover-up for the evenings whenever we go. Enjoy!

What Yvonne says mirrors my opinion about the middle two weeks of May. It's a great time to go. You won't need a cover up in the evenings unless you are particularly "tender". You are unlikely to need air conditioning in May either. The sun is particularly high in the sky then, even though it's not too hot, so don't stint on the Factor 20!

Hi
Thanks to you both for the info, hope you both manage to get to Plakias this summer.

We go last two weeks in May although this year we are going on 27th May but to Paleachora. My experience is it is about 80 in the daytime but we have been when we had heatwave and freak weather when it has hit 90 or more. Evenings are a bit too cool for me when the sun goes down and I would definitely recommend a cardigan or a light fleece.

Hallo Mandy,
What a coincidence! I'm thinking of going to Paleochora in May too! Do you have any recommendations regarding accomodation?

We go on the 24th and there for two weeks, where abouts is Paleachora? is it the place you drive though on the road into Plakias? If you get into Plakias at all keepyor eyes open for the smiling toes LOL

Noopsy,
I've stayed in this place twice when I've been to Paleochora:

It's cheap and cheerful, but the rooms are en-suite now. When I first went many years ago, they weren't. It's a good idea to book though as I once turned up on spec and they were full.
