Location: Here on the Plakias Map Hotel Sophia, owned and nicely driven by Annemarie and Jorgos, is our first choice in Plakias and one of the oldest hotels in town. Though it is located just few steps from the harbour it is not too busy and loud. Basic rooms with all you need and nothing in that we don't like in our holidays [e.g. TV, phone, WLan etc..] Wonderful courtyard in the middle of the building where you can have your breakfast surrounded by a collection of blooming plants in the cooling shadow of a huge tree [araucaria heterophylla]. "Very fresh and delicious" breakfast. Since we need extra rooms for our children they always made some kind arrangements in other locations like Ouranos or Philoxenia... but the breakfast in Sofia...! Mainly frequented by german customers but never been biten yet...
