PlakChat / Emmerdale versus Football

For the first time in Plakias history I actually watched Emmerdale in Kyma ( sad or what!!). However due to the excessive demand for Football it has been impossible since. Shouldn't one television be for the sport orientated male and the other for the more discerning lady viewers?? So come on - let's stand up for ourselves and comandeer one telly!!! I think that's only fair.

Hi all. Just to let you know that all the cashpoints have been out of order for the last 4 days due to technical problems. It may be advisable to bring a little extra cash with you but the problems may be sorted. At the moment no-one seems to know! I am presently washing up at the Kyma to pay for my meal!!!!  Ruth is waiting on !!!!

Just out of interest, why do prices on the Olympic site change so much? This morning Hotel Sophia was £511 and now it is £556 for the 19th July. will this keep happening? Or shall I go to Corfu?

Everyone seems to be in such a hurry to scream 'racism' these days.
 


A customer asked, "In what aisle could I find the Irish sausage?"  
 
The assistant asks, "Are you Irish?"

The guy, clearly offended, says, "Yes I am.  But let me ask you something.

If I had asked for Italian sausage, would you ask me if I was Italian?

Or if I had asked for German Bratwurst, would you ask me if I was German?

Or if I asked for a kosher hot dog would you ask me if I was Jewish?

Or if I had asked for a Taco, would you ask if I was Mexican?

Or if I asked for Polish sausage, would you ask if I was Polish?"

The assistant says, "No, I probably wouldn't."

The guy says, "Well then, just because I asked for Irish sausage, why did you ask me if I'm Irish?"

Where to go / Plakias somewhere else?

Is there any other greek island, higher up than Crete (not hard) that won't be so hot in July  that has places 'like' Plakias? no high rise hotels and stuff like that? I need to go somewhere different this year :    : just for a change! any ideas?

Gossip / Audio test

This made me laugh and I had to share it!
I just completed an audio test on a chap that works for the local council, The results showed that his hearing was fine, top of the charts!
I advised him of this and pressed the 'print' button to obtain a copy for the records.
I then asked "would you like a copy"?
To which he replied, "No thanks, I like one at lunchtime with my sandwich"!
I despair!

PlakChat / The 'cloud' !

Hi all,
I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts are regarding this 'ash' cloud business? I seems like it will be around forever according to today's Jeremy Vine show!
I am due to fly out on August 3rd  so maybe it will be OK?
I cant imagine not going this year after 20 years without fail!
What do you all think?
