Title: walking to Prevelli beach
Post by: albertdiver on August 11, 2009, 08:44:07 AM
Anso Travel in Plakias organizes every week a guided walk along the river of Palm Beach of of Prevelli.
Start is at the sources of St. Nicolas and than the hidden path of the hippies till the bridge. From the bridge we stay on the right side of the river and we pass the old church of AGia Fotini. Than we end up at the parking and we descend to the beach , where we stay to relax and for swimm. The Prevelli boat will pick us up and brings us back in Plakias. A beautiful walk to a beautifull place

Sounds like a good day. We walked it last year, on the left of the river but high up, not in the river bed. The down side was having to walk all the way back again so an organised trip might suit most people better. a tip - if you're not one for lazing in the sun, there's always pedalos you can hire - we scoffed at the idea but actually, you can take then quite a distance up the river - very picturesque. Another alternative to sunbathing is strolling through the palm trees - you can walk by the river for nearly a 1km I would think, before heading back to catch the boat.
