Can someone advise me of the location of 2 or 3 naturist beaches around Plakias.

Always a good place to start - Captain Barefoot - work down the list from Shinaria to Souda.

Then, have a look at the "Plakias Map" (click the button, top-right corner) to see them "in situ".

If you still need more, then a "Search" of these forums (fora?) for 'beach' should fill in any gaps.  Specifically, there's a long thread about "favourite beaches".

If you have any questions after all that, come back

Plakias - Far End
Mikro Amoudi - between Damnoni and Amoudi
Souda - the Plakias end used to be clothing optional but I think nowadays, unless you are the first one there to set the trend it's probably not worth trying.
Some sites might mention Frangocastello as having a naturist end but last time we were there (3 years ago) there was a sign saying 'No Nudists' (or similar).

The nudist area is at the extreme eastern (left hand) end.  You approach it by taking a steep path down by the side of a taverna and then walking left (sea on right hand side) for about half a mile.  The main Frangocastello beach is indeed textile.

Thanks for the info Allan. I must admit, we didn't walk that far along the beach. As it was deserted at the time we visited, it didn't make much difference.

I'm keeping out of this as you lot are in such big trouble when Mandy returns. A copy (very dog-earred) of these pages from Captain Barefoot (Paleohora) was in the Kostas Chrysoulla bar area in early May 2006 but had disappeared by the time Mandy searched it out a week or so later.

  P  S

All I know is it was "in the public domain" - on the Barefoot pages ..... good job I'm leaving the country soon.

{edit} Double P  S - I was so panicked ... I forgot to change the image tag to a url

I'm just an innocent ... honest.
