The new Olympic Holidays Rep for Plakias.
Dominick Hallen (on the right) from Manchester and last year was rep in Elounda.
Good luck with the 2016 season, hope your liver survives.

Hi Pimo.
I have promoted Elias and Melissani in Selia before so will give a mention and photographs of the brand new (late 2015)

Thank you TonyH.
Good to know the name of the new rep too.
How are the sewage works in the roads going?
Saw that there has been some heavy and badly needed rain.
Might not be welcome when visiting but the authorities were talking about hose pipe bans and water restrictions for Agriculture. No bans for swimming pools! Completely bonkers as usual.

Hi 😀.
As has been said, Plakias is still a great place. A few changes since you last visited. New harbour just outside and a fair few apartments built along and above the road to Souda beach. There are now two Tavernas ( both good) and a beach bar at Souda beach. Plakias itself has several new hotels and apartments behind and again up the hill. You will also notice some old favourite eating and dancing places missing but new ones have appeared. The far end ( Paligremnos ) has several new apartments. Damnoni beach has been very developed with a big complex by Hapimag but is the place to go for watersports. We never use this beach anymore. Other beaches have a little development but are pretty unspoilt. As a whole Plakias remains one of the best places on Crete for people wanting a good time without awful Eurostyle nightclubs, Brit and Irish Theme bars and awful full English breakfast everywhere.

Les really did visit for the day last week, he has been moved to Agia Marina which is one of the nicer resorts West of Chania.
New Rep has been in Plakias awhile preparing and getting to know accommodation owners and staff etc.. Anyone who is staying at the Kostas  Chrysoulla will know who they are, so will let us know very soon
Difficult job filling Les' shoes after he was the Olympic Holidays rep for so long.

So Les has just had a little visit to Plakias. The New Rep is settling in. So come on for Billy and everyone else waiting on tenterhooks! Someone has got to know.
The rumour I heard is that it is another Les...taking a break from the Solana in Benidorm

Thank you John. So brilliant to get some up-to-date information.
Waiters trawling for custom is a huge turn off and virtually guarantees we will never eat at that establishment.
Trust Mixalis, Soula and family are doing well and still the best place to be in the evening and have you bumped into Giannis Dougelrakis yet?
Wish we were there.
John and Michèle
