A rescue of a young dolphin at Damnoni Plakias south Crete
At Damnoni Plakias south Crete a young dolphin came near people and it was disoriented and sick. Many people that were at the beach tried to help it but they didn't know what to do. They found Arion a Centre of Rescue and Care of Cetacea (http://www.arion.org.gr/ (http://www.arion.org.gr/)) and they gave instructions and also send a volunteer from ANIMA (http://www.wild-anima.gr/el/ (http://www.wild-anima.gr/el/)) .
The dolphin was treated and was back in the sea next morning.
After two days it was still in the area in good health.
Special thanks to Alex who kept the dolphin in the sea for more than three hours and to the management and the personnel of the Hapimag Damnoni Hotel which helped in a effective way.
