Good places to eat Lefkogia?
« on: March 23, 2013, 09:38:20 AM »
Hello all.
We was wondering if anyone had eaten in Lefkogia village?
Have passed at least two interesting looking Tavernas there and there may be a third.
Any recommendations?
Ok, we found the review for Stelios Taverna, thank you Tony and Sandra.
Strangely did not show up on search on the forum but appeared in Google results.
Anyone eaten there or the other one since 2008?  :)

Thank you for continuing recommendation. Will be looking forward to July and trying some new places. I think I feel a Lefkogia evening coming.
I found out that the other Taverna is called Maria's, people renting property in the area recommend it as well.
Will try both of them this year and report back. Excitement and Here it is

   This place too

A Grill Cafe too O Vasilis, and can just make out Stelios Taverna at the back of the photo. Much more there than we first thought.

It is about 5Kms and some of it up hill. I am not sure but suspect about an hour from the old quay in Plakias, certainly more than 40mins.
It really depends on where you are staying, not a bad walk from the Labyrinth studios for example.
Personally would rather walk to Souda beach or up to Mirthios/ Myrthios.
Stick your thumb out and get a lift. We give lifts all the time, it is a Greek way of life in rural areas. Take a torch for the return journey, good to be as visible as possible even if you can see.
Good luck.
