Forum and Website discussion / Re: Questions and Answers Plakias Forums
« on: December 21, 2013, 12:32:33 PM »
Hi

Bit of a delay in responding!

It is a good point and I think something we can hope to address.

There is an FAQ section of the forum that I added a long time ago that seems to have got hidden. I have re-added it to the menu at the top next to help.

We can endeavor to add some common questions here.
If there are any willing members to help contribute to this please let me know.

There is also the Articles section which has been neglected.
I think maybe a push to get members to add content and reviews here would be great.

Finally how about a re-organize of the Forum and its categories with a dedicated questions section to make it easier for new members to post questions?

I'll have a think over the coming days and maybe start a new topic for thoughts on a re-organize.

Thanks,

Paul

But...I thought...it ...was going...to...be.. me... :(

Barny, glittering prizes do not make a man, you will always be a winner in my eyes

33
Prizes went in the post yesterday, Jackie has confirmed receipt of the poster (well done Royal Mail) so hopefully it will all arrive soon.

34
I do hope that is not because you are unable to climb the stairs on Christmas Eve  :)

35
Yes that was presumptuous of me, however I feel the advice can be readily adapted to ones personal abode.
Indeed I do away with the need for distinction by sleeping underneath the Christmas Tree come Christmas night thus necessitating no need to race to it come the morn.  :)

Plakias / Re: Taxi Share in September 2014
« on: December 20, 2013, 08:24:09 AM »
Wow that is forward planning.
Great idea... maybe we should use this thread as a liaison point for trying to find taxi shares.
Yet to book though it will probably be a bit later then the 6th.

Has anyone got any experience of getting 4 people (plus luggage) into one of the 'standard' Merc type taxis?

You are welcome John.

If the winners would like to send me a Personal Message with their Address details I will endeavour to pop down to the post office today.
Hopefully then they will arrive by Christmas.

As a suggestion to enhance your Christmas, may I suggest you place them under the tree.
This will enable you to experience a long drawn-out night of fitful sleep as you eagerly anticipate the moment when you are allowed to race downstairs and with your trembling fingers eagerly rip open the packaging to feast your eyes upon your hard-earned winnings of the inaugural forum give-away.

Thanks to everyone who took part, to those who were unlucky... there's always next year!

Indeed Barny, I will point out that my size 10 slippers and the ironing board will not be dispatched to the lucky winner (in two minds about the carpet though)
