Sensible flight times
« on: July 14, 2004, 07:52:44 PM »
Hi
We have been visiting Plakias as independant travellers for some years now, and like many we don't 'do' night flights.  For the last 2 years we have used Brittania Airways, leaving from either Stansted or Luton (depending on which days we want to travel), and their times are very user friendly, leaving at about 8.30 am and arriving 2.20 pm in Heraklion.  We have never had a problem using them.

Like you Yvonne we always travel independently for the last 12yrs from Birmingham on the 8-35 Tuesday Monarch flight, returning from Hiraklion at 3-35, all very sociable.
We did do the night flight from Luton once but never again  (although it was the first time independent) we had a car hire but got lost and ended up going all the way to Rythmnon on the old Rd. over the mountans in the dark, it took 6hrs to get to Plakias
