Memory Jogger please
« on: July 21, 2010, 01:29:38 PM »
In 2005 Jan ( my then fiancee) visited Plakias for a week with her daughter Lucy and stayed at the Lamon (good old Kosmar days). They found a particular place to eat and went there a few times. She cannot remember the name of the taverna but she says the name of the waiter was Charlie Babis.

Can anyone throw any light on which taverna this could have been as Jan wants us to eat there when we come to Plakias in September.

Don't know about Charlie Babis, but a (or "the") Babis owns and waits at the Medousa which roughly speaking is behind the Lamon hotel.

Thanks for this John. The name doesn't ring any bells with Jan but maybe when she sees the place it may well come to her then.

Unfortunately Jan says that is not the guy she remembers. We'll just have to do some exploringg as she does remember what the taverna looks like.

Thanks guys
