Holiday Companies / Olympic 2018

Having had to miss our Plakias fix last year,  (due to a tour around Italy)  We have rectified this for 2018.  The special offers from Olympic can be quite good.  So we will return in September flying from Manchester as Olympic seem to have a problem with LBA.  Also new for this year is yet another airline, Air France are the carrier for some flights to Heraklion.  Will be different, possibly moules and frites?? on board. well I can live in hope.
Looking forward to meeting old friends and seeing what is new.

Holiday Companies / Olympic rep saga

This topic get more interesting as the season unfolds.  We were in Plakias for the first week of the season and met Dominik the replacement for dear departed Les ,  we both said then that we did not expect him to last, nice lad but unsuited for here.
We came back on 28th June to find Dom still here, surprise surprise, but he told us that he was leaving he could not stand it??? so he put in for a transfer, OK, next thing Dave had arrived and Dom was showing him round, this was Monday this week.  Fast forward to Friday, we bumped into Dom with a new face, we were introduced to Tom, it turns out that Dave had done a runner, resigning from Olympic and leaving immediately.  So Tom is the latest in the hot seat.  Those of you coming next week, we go home on Tuesday 12th will have to look out and see who the rep will be.  It's just like a soap opera but less exciting???
Oh yes, the wind is very strong, but it's nice and hot been between 30 and 35 most days.

Anyone interested in a cheap last minute holiday in Plakias?  Olympic have a very nice price for 14n at Kostas Chrysoulla leaving Man on 28th June.

PlakChat / Plakias at Christmas

Now the silliness is over for another year.  I must be turning into a "bah Humbug" type? But with all the hype starting in October it drives me mad sometimes. So, decided to look into the possibility of spending Christmas in one of our favourite places!!

I realise flights could be a stumbling block from "up North" but am willing to try (almost) anything.  Also would Chania be a better bet than Heraklion? Transfers would be problematic.  Mmmm am I talking myself out of this idea?? 
Anyone with any thoughts, ideas etc would help.

Plakias / Just booked

  Just booked a cheap (very) last minute week in Plakias at the KC from LBA.  We have been in May, June, July & September, so have got to try October.  Be good to get away from all this manky weather.

Plakias / Return to Plakias

We are returning to Plakias on 10th June from LBA for two weeks staying at the Dora.  We usually stay at KC but they were full when we tried to book.  Does anyone know if the Dora has Kettle and hairdryer? as there is no mention of either in blurb on Olympic or any other website.  Hairdryer is most important (so I'm told) ducking quickly!!!
Really looking forward to Plakias again, counting days now.

Plakias / Back to Plakias

Just booked  two weeks in Plakias 25th June out.  First time last year, liked it so much went back 4 weeks later!!!

Good price from Olympic from LBA,
 Went last July and as only ones on flight for Plakias were very surprised to get a taxi transfer, keeping fingers crossed again,  much better than first time last year when we went all over Crete before landing in Plakias.  But, whatever, it will be good to get back.
