Just back from another brilliant 2 weeks at P, a few days of some cloud but no rain, We stayed, as usual at Stella Pensions unfortunately Yannis has recently had a stroke, so Stella is taking care of him and Marcus is running Stella as well as his evening job, they all look worn out, hopefully things will sort themselves out soon.  Alex

Really sorry to hear this as we have fond memories of meeting and speaking to Markos's parents during our last two holiday's staying at Stella-they were always very good to us.

We wish Yannis all the best and really hope that he is able to make a speedy recovery if possible.

We are due to go back at the end of July and as always we are really looking forward to going back but this time it will be tinged with sadness with this news.

We are also very sorry to hear this. We had heard roumers but needed confirmation prior to commenting here. Have sent our sympathy to Markos but no reply as he obviously has priorities on his mind

Yes - sad news. Let's hope Yannis makes a good recovery. We love staying at Stella's but will hate to feel like staying there is something they could do without. No doubt we will hear more news in the next month or two.
Hearing, also, that Dora's husband is ill is a reminder that good health is something to make the most of, and not to take for granted.

Does anyone know how Stella's Yannis is: whether he is recovering ok from his stroke?

We have just come back today from a two week stay at Stella. Markos told us that his father is still recovering although he did say that he was getting better. Markos said that his mother was tired through giving constant care to him and that sometimes he had to take his father to the local hospital in Rethmynon for spells there.

When he was at back at home, Markos was having to spend a lot of money paying for physiotherapists to come out to treat him in Plakias-makes you glad that we have the NHS in the UK as good quality health care in Greece can be expensive.

Markos's wife Marlene (?) was working in the mornings helping Markos provide the breakfasts in the same way that his parents have done in the past.
