Just had a quick look at these Steven and they look wonderful, thank you.
Such wonderful days but unfortunately 15 years before my first visit. I'll have another look tonight, I'm sure there are some people in there I recognise.

I agree with George, these are really interesting so thanks for sharing them Steven.

Much has changed but much is recognisable as well. I don't suppose tourism had got going by then as I think Greece had only just emerged from a military dictatorship.

I'm not sure what time of year they were shot but there is quite a lot of cloud in some and it seems windy!

They were shot in 1975 and 1979

The first time i was in Plakias was  about 1985 but the 1979 video brings a lot of pleasant memories.

I'm in Plakias now, so it's easy for me to check how much is the same.

Fascinating film, I first went just over 20 years ago.  AND I'M GOING AGAIN IN JUST OVER A WEEKS TIME !!!!!!!!!!!    for the second time this year!! can't wait

Really enjoyed the films. Came back from Plakias two weeks ago and missing it already.
Booked for next year for the seventh time.

Great to see this footage. It may be wishful thinking, but is the cafe in the first one Ostraco? I think it might be. If so - I think the lady serving might be Yannis' mum!

Yes, Plakias has changed a bit. Mostly I think between '75 and '90 when I first went
