Sea Temperature

Has anybody else checked the sea temperature at Plakias? I did so last week and got a reading, after 15 minutes, of just over 76F (25.5C), though it didn't feel that warm when the first wave broke over the nuts

I came across this link through the Greek "Met. Office" (HNMS) site - Sea Temperatures .... currently, southern Crete has got the best conditions

Come Wednesday, I'll be making an "on the spot" inspection - it's bound to beat both the North and Irish seas.

Today the warmest waters are off the east coast at 24 deg. C, and those off Plak some 2 deg. C cooler.
