Thanks Noopsey thats really helpful and has whetted my appetite for September.

Which taverna sells the best stifado?

Unsure of the greek translation of some of the tavernas - is there any chance these could be added?

I have been to stoupa twice and absolutely loved it - lovely tavernas with very tasty and cheap food. Good walking opportunities and a choice of beaches. The majority of tourists are Brits so you might miss the international vibe of Plakias - but that I think is its only downfall.

I think anyone would like it - every friend or family member has loved it too

Great photos. It will be my first visit to Plakias next year. We are staying with Olympic Holidays at The Irida the last week in Sept and first week in October. Also got a great deal using their double discount £647.14p for the 2 of us!!! It s still a long time to wait but i'll be logging on quite reguarly now - when I need my greek fix.
