Hi, we are planning a visit to Plakias this year after a break of 4 years.
The restaurants on the front like Sofia's used to do set meals for about €20 does anyone know if they still do these and what the current prices are?
hi colin we have just got back from plakias and we too wer there about 5yrs ago , we think the prices are very good compared to other islands we have visited over the past few yrs we paid around 24euro for a beutiful meal including two starters and wine , i usually had fish and my husband tried differnt meals we kept to one resteraunt has the food was the best for us  , mouses was the name of the resteraunt rite on the front nr ostrico , if you enjoy a good english now n again ostraco was good  5,50 fresh orange and coffee toast and the full monty  and what a beutiful view ,. also try the lamb and oragarno potatos at mouses ,. it has changed in plakias but not a great deal some bars have updated and a very trendy om the last day we had lunch up in the frame bar , very good service and a really spectacular place  also if you go to mythios past the old wash house you will see the transfomation , at first it was a dissapointment  but thing change , and again the work there has made it a great improvment ,.  enjoy yr holiday  sandra

Just back from a fantastic 2 weeks and reporting on the Strategic flight!

Well, at check in we were told that there would be no food, drink or any other items available to buy unless a meal had been booked because their delivery had not arrived!

We did however get 2 complimentary drinks, tea, coffee or water during the flight!

The flight itself was on time but based at the furthest away gate and we were taken on a bus to board.

Apparently they only have 2 planes and are registered in Luxembourg. both are the  A40 Airbus (and they look very well worn to me. ) One flies from Manchester and one from Gatwick.

Seat comfort not too bad,had worse on some Monarch flights.

On the return they seem to have improved , although some of the snacks/food sill not available. Didn't book a meal but met someone who did and he said it was the usual stuff you get!

Both flights were on time although 2 changes were made weeks before .
