Plakias Santa Maria apartments - Olympic Holidays
« on: June 20, 2008, 01:43:26 PM »
Has anyone stayed in the Santa Maria apartments ? Just wondering if anyone can recommend them ?

I believe it is around a 7 minute walk from the bakery, and main supermarket on the road to Lefkogia.

Would be extremely grateful if you could please post your views.

Many thanks
Dave

Thanks Mike, new to the forum so didnt see that.....

A good review, the apartments seem ok.... I take it there is no pool, but we could always use one nearby ?
Not sure why the previous person mentioned no balconies ?

Cheers

There are no balconies on the ground floor, it's a shared 'terrace' area at the front. I won't mention the back!!

All the apartments have either private balcony or terrace. I was in one of the latter and there is privacy from the adjacent apartment by means of a full height screen, so it is as good as a private balcony IMHO. The rooms at the front have the best views but when I was there all the people at the back seemed very happy. The only complaint I  heard was from the couple in the one bedroomed apartment at the top (which has a huge private terrace/balcony area) who said the hum of the water heater kept them awake. That's not something you often hear, complaints about the immersion heater being used too much!

If you like Greek quality accommodation I think few will be disappointed at SM.
