I have noticed from a few of the other Greek forums that the visitors so far this summer are down dramatically on various islands. Has any body else read similar reports. I hope that the people who have been to Plakias already this summer can report good numbers in the village.

I thought that it seemed quite busy when we visited early in May. Hopefully it will be a good year.

I usually visit in the middle two weeks of May. This year I thought it was as busy as I had seen it at this time of year, including the far end.

A large proportion of Plakias visitors are regulars who are unlikely to be put off by the constant stream of negative comments about Greece in UK media.

JackieatUrbanAgenda:
I think that is an international trait in Plakias.....we have met so many German, Austrian, Russian, French and Canadian fans there. There may be concerns but it is good to know that regulars still support the village.
