I've voted unsure.

I had a look around and set up some topics for myself with all topics showing and it was surprising what has passed. I as a regular would know to do that but newcomers may not and may bring up all the same old questions/topics again again. So it might be a good thing for the benefit of new members ??

O.K.  I voted no but this may be because I don't know enough about these things.  If you showed all the topics that were ever raised, won't they "run off" the page?  A drop-down menu seems to me to be a neater solution.

Voted yes for all those newbies and sometimes I have looked back at something I needed to know, so it is useful.

Sorry, Andy.  I'm still not sure I understand.      Could you put in that screenshot please?

I think I've cracked it: I don't have that "toolbar" or whatever you call it, at the top of my screen at all!  No wonder I was confused!

I think I may have used the wrong terminology: by "toolbar" I was referring to the panel containing the drop-down menus that appears in your screenshots.  This panel is totally absent from my screen (i.e. the Welcome to Plakias banner heading is unobscured).  I tried to find it by rummaging around in My Options without success, and gave up.  I think I'll just stick to what I've been doing up till now i.e. just keeping abreast with new material.

Anyway, thanks for your patience!
