there are certain times when you really need that beer, coming off the beach on a hot day, at the end of hard days walking (or in the middle)

so which one do you go for?

Where to eat...or not! / The Balcony at the Ostraco
« on: September 06, 2005, 10:54:13 AM »
sadly it doesn't look like we'll be getting back to Plakias this year    so I'm left with my memories of May ( and prior years)

one of our favourite things is a last drink on the balcony at the Ostraco, overlooking the bay, watching people walking past and generally chilling out, there's only one other place where a Mythos tastes so good

..........(sighs)

Where to go / Damnoni
« on: June 01, 2005, 11:17:54 AM »
One of the blights of Damnoni was the awful derelict hotel (was it called the minoan princess or summat?)

well....it's gone,

now the bad news, i heard that it's been demolished so that Hapimag can extend their time shares further

PlakChat / just looking at the stats
« on: May 02, 2005, 12:51:11 AM »
and on sunday, there were:-

97 guests, 102 spider bots, 1 members 0 anonymous members

ignoring the spiderbots ( i have visions of the scutters from red dwarf) it's quite funny to think of 97 'others' lurking around!

feel free to join in folks ( i get fed up of seeing my own name on every thread)

Where to go / Walking Maps
« on: March 02, 2005, 09:27:15 AM »
We have Lance Chilton's books for the Plakias areas already and have used the Harms Crete maps previously, but as the latter is falling apart...

has anyone any suggestions for a good map with enough detail for walking for the area?

thanks
