Holiday Companies / are holiday companies pulling out of Maleme?

Hello

I've just returned from two weeks in Maleme. I've heard rumours that holiday companies are pulling out of Maleme? A couple of locals told me that they thought this was the case.

Has anyone else heard this?

Plakias / Beach Flowers

Perhaps I shouldn't admit to this as I am sure I am breaking some law or other - but I took a couple of bulbs home a few years ago. I planted them in the garden (outside) and they grew but only produced leaves but no flowers.

Plakias / Where do you sunbathe?

My wife and I love Plakias but one big drawback is the distance from the airport. The last time we visited we arrived on a night flight then faced a nighmare journey by coach and taxi to Plakias. The taxi driver must have been an ex-Kamakazi pilot as he spent most of the time on the wrong side of the road!!!

The big attraction for us is the naturist part of the beach as we always plan our holidays where we can enjoy the beach in the buff. Is it my imagination but is the naturist section getting smaller? We must fight for our rights.
