carbonara recipe?
« on: August 31, 2006, 10:42:58 AM »
Slightly off topic, but the greek spaghetti carbonara I had in various restaurants in Plakias was the best Ive ever tasted (especially at the Paligrimnos studios), far better than the Italian variety. Does anyone happen to have the recipe the Greek islanders use?

I agree that the carbonara I have had in Greek tavernas (not just Plakias) has been really excellent and better than in Italian restaurants. Try the Medousa's or Mousses'.

Better than Italian..?!   Where did you eat in Italy???
Next time you must look for "Trattoria", that is the same as Greek Taverna...
