Now I don't know if it is early festive cheer or maybe I am giddy from the feverish excitement of the Christmas Giveaway but I have exciting news....

We have a new top prize for our Chrimbo extravaganza....

This measures 45" by 30" I think and i'm sure you'll agree would look fab adorning the wall of ones Lounge/Dining Room/Kitchen/Bedroom/Toilet/Shed etc.

It does of course mean that the exquisite key-rings are relegated to runner-up prizes.

Apologies to our non-UK friends but the postage will be prohibitive as the cardboard tube is somewhat bulky.

Note to self, the carpet is pretty grim and the ironing table is missing a plastic foot-end jobby.

It is true Mike, with these fererro rocher magnificent trinkets I am spoiling you.
But (he says, tossing his golden locks alluringly) you're worth it.

It is also indeed true that these items were procured at great personal expense (read Photobox special offer*)

With interest now flooding in I have decided that the winners will be announced on Tuesday 17th of December at 21:15 (if I remember and if Eastenders and Holby City don't over-run for some bizarre reason)

* Special Offer was for 'Credits', said 'Credits' don't included postage. In the case of these fine items, postage was way more than the items themselves! Calendars turned out excellent though.

Forum and Website discussion / The Great Plakias Forum Christmas Giveaway
« on: December 03, 2013, 03:14:12 PM »
Yes we have had Black Friday and Cyber Monday but they have just been the warm-up to the spectacular event that is the first Plakias Forum Christmas Giveaway... Hurrah!

I have not one, not two but three of these beauties to give away:

With one of these beautiful (if slightly not level) key-rings you will; always have something on hand to remind you of happy Plakias days, never lose your keys again, be the envy of your friends, wonder how you survived all these years without one and become infinitely more attractive *

All you need to do to in order to stand a chance of achieving greatness is to post a response to this topic.

In the event of there being more than 3 responses I will randomly pick the select few.

When I hear you ask? Oooh I don't know, in a couple of weeks time so you can have it in time for Christmas.

Good Luck!
* These statements may not actually be based on fact

I heard it went to Athens a number of years ago much to Margherita's dismay.

Fab aerial photos there, wondered if they chartered a helicopter especially to do it?

Wow, don't check-in for a few days and look what happens!

Geoff has removed his account so not much to say really.

An emotive topic clearly and everyone is entitled to their opinion but we should be able to keep things friendly without resorting to personal attacks, implied or otherwise.

Will add some more items to it plus if anyone has any suggestions let me know.

Sadly someone passed away whilst we were there, a traumatic time for many people involved so I don't think it would be right for us 'strangers' to chat about it here.

Glad you had a great time Nora, we were there for the same two weeks and we were lucky with the weather weren't we? (especially after what we had last year).

A dangle of naturists sounds good to me :-)

Note to administrators - perhaps a weather forcast link/tab would be a good idea for everyone to access at the top right of the page alongside the Plakias Map and Olympic Holidays links???Just a thought.
