Hi LesleyAnn
We stayed at the Studios last October via Olympic and had problems initially.  Despite requesting an upper floor room when we booked in January 2004, we were put in a ground floor room next to the back entrance of the main building - it was awful!  There was no privacy, little security and a poor view.
We were told by the Olympic rep that the Kostas have a habit of "bumping" the package tour residents out of their allocated rooms in favour of relatives and friends.
After making a considerable fuss, we were transferred after 3 days, into a separate block on the seafront (Glaros apartments, I think), also owned by Kostas.  The first floor room was pretty small but faced South and had a great view of the bay.
The rest of the holiday was great and we are going back this October, but not with Olympic and not to Kostas!!!!!
I do hope you don't suffer the same problems as us - if you're not happy, make a fuss!!!!
Regards
Andy B

We had similar problems in 2003, Andy - we had a ground floor annex room with the balcony overlooking the cleaner's cupboard/smoking area  We didn't complain but chose Stella for 2004. For the most part, Costas Chrysoulla is good and the rooms were re-furbished in 2004.

Somewhere on the Forum this room is identified as No. 56. When earlier this month the Olympic rep gave us our room number on the transfer, I was pleased it was not 56 (it was 59 which was fine, if small). 56 had the worst balcony view I have ever seen. I would have hated it. The apartment above wasn't much better (62 I think). Future visitors to Kostas Chrysoulla beware.

I have done a detailed review of Kostas Chrysoulla in the new review section Ploppy has added. Basically very positive.

i think it's number 56's balcony that over looks the stairs and car park, it's right above where the cleaners ( bless their hearts) have their fag break

i think the occupants for the last couple of weeks weren't too happy about it ( or anything else actually  )

great apartments generally, but there are NO safety deposit boxes in the section we were in, and i will update the instructions on how to get to them in the reports section

Hello Harribobs,

It is definitely No 62 that overlooks the stairs; No 56 is underneath and is even worse, although it was unoccupied during 10-24 May. Both should be avoided.

Hope you enjoyed Kostas Chrysoulla as much as we did.

Hiya Mike

we thought it was great, i hadn't realised you were there as well

we were the noisy ones in 58 (i think) i apologise for the raki induced raucous behaviour but we were lead astray by the OAPs in 57

Hello Harribobs,

You're forgiven as you only did it once (we were in No 59)!

During our first week (around May 12) a couple of lads almost underneath spent about 3 hours (3.00am -6.00am) shouting and screaming at each other which was much worse.

Re Kostas Chrysoulla, do any of the forum members in the travel industry know if  Olympic have dropped this accommodation for 2006? I can't find it on their website under the 2006 brochure. All I can find is the two Alianthos hotels.

This would be a pity, leaving only Kosmar doing self catering accommodation. Maybe it will be in a later version of their brochure.

I can now answer my own question. This is the reply I received from Olympic.

"We will be selling this holiday but we are waiting to receive the
contract from the accommodation before adding it to our system.  Try
again within the next few weeks."
