Or check out the calendar, not everyone uses it but it will give you some idea.
Not overkeen on football, have to be in the mood, but the odd G&T has been known to pass my lips.

What time on the 2nd are you arriving Bigal, I'm arriving at Chania around 7.00pm and I've got a car waiting for me!!?

We arrive at Heraklion at about 2pm from Glasgow
-
Al - I get there on the 6th and if there's anywhere showing a Watford game (unlikely) or an Arsenal game (quite possible) I'm the tallish, blondish but baldingish drunken bloke shouting at the telly. Feel free to introduce yourself.
Or not, if you should so decide...
-
football? why bring it with you?

If you're going to be on the Olympic bus, I'll probably overtake you then!!
I'll be in the Levicon... probably, later on!

We are in Plakias from 5th - 17th Sept. but as we don't know anyone, not sure how we could meet up. Is there a particular bar where you all go? As we're from the West country (well Gloucester anyway) are there any bars that serve draught/bottled cider?
Cheers

I don't think Medousa does cider but you could bring some apple juice and mix it with raki!!

Why do people want to spend a fortune, travel two thousand miles and watch football? I don't get it?
Barny.

That's one reason I avoid the Kyma. Love Pavlos and Stavis but it's those two great big sceens that P*** me off!!
They do a great Tuna Club sandwich though around lunchtime!!

For a couple of ninety minutes out of two weeks?
We don't do the Czech soaps. Just a bit over the top, and what about the apple pie and cream?

To be fair, watching football in bars is an authentic part of the real Greek experience - when in Rome, etc...

Agreed, if the audience consised of locals, it's great fun, but the audience is mostly English, and other holiday makers!

An other reason as to go to Kyma...
every year in May/June when we go to Plakias we watch "Formula One" and we love the apple pie with ice and cream.

Not after this year. I used to watch it because I thought it was hilarious, but this year it was boring so I'm not going to bother anymore. I totally agreed with Wogan's comments!!
Hopefully this subject will now END!!

• Ireland has won the Eurovision Song Contest
the most times, with seven wins in all, closely
followed by the UK, France and Luxembourg
with five wins each.
• Finland has finished last on eight occasions,
followed by Belgium and Austria, who have
had the dubious honour seven times.

Ahh that explains it, Margherita loves the Eurovision
Though I think even her enthusiasm is waning with all this block voting.
Now this is what a Euro song should be like...
